Anderson Insulation was founded by Eric R. Anderson after returning home from World War II. After the war, insulation was being slowly introduced into the housing market, and Eric saw the great need for the use of insulation to offset the cost of electric heat. He started off with two trucks, a loading dock and a 2,000 square foot warehouse on Temple Street in Abington.
Today, the second generation of Andersons run Anderson Insulation. Along with our operations in Saco, Maine, we have a 40,000-square-foot facility in Abington, Massachusetts. With a fleet of 30 trucks, Anderson Insulation can be at more than 60 building/remodeling projects on any given day. Anderson is the insulation contractor of choice for the Emmy award-winning show “This Old House,” and one of a select Owens Corning™ Certified Energy Experts® in the country.
